Belonging to several places at the same time is what expands the horizons of Maria Fernanda Cândido, who as a teenager went to live in different cities of the world in the first steps as a model, before becoming a film, television and theater actress. This diverse and global look she brought to ASAS joined the multiple ways of thinking relevant content created by the high-flyers, also spread across different countries.

Today divided between Paris and São Paulo, Maria Fernanda believes that integrating an international collective generates a direct connection with the current moment of the planet.

“I think it is a matter of the contemporary world that this integration of borders, of starting to create belonging in different places. This is a big change for humanity. I think I bring some of this to ASAS, some of this exchange, interdependence and interculture. It's a sum of strengths and there's a lot here”,

she says, who worked on productions with professionals from different nations, such as Marco Bellocchio's feature film“ Il Traditore ”, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

At ASAS, one of the actress's highlights is the “Thread of Desire” project, whose kickoff is the documentary “The Uncertain Place of Desire”, in which she embodies Ana Thereza, a woman seized by a sweeping desire that challenges the apparent balance of her life. “Discussing the theme of desire from the feminine point of view interests me a lot and gives me pleasure, joy and encourages me. And it's very enriching, ”says Maria Fernanda, who was part of the cast of the series “After all, what do women want?” on TV Globo.

The actress will be in the "Thread of Desire" fiction feature film. In the production process, she had an intense exchange of ideas with the other high-flyers so that the final result reflected the plurality of thoughts the group has.

“This essence of the participants in this collective is very clear. These are more restless people who are not accommodated in certain places. They are always motivated by questions, in thinking about the contents of the very contemporary, in proposing this conversation, this dialogue with people ”,

affirms the high-flyer, reinforcing the purpose of ASAS to connect directly with the feelings of the audience.

An entrepreneur and actress for more than two decades, Maria Fernanda Cândido confirms the desire that ASAS projects impact not only when the public has contact with the content, but that it remains. “Legacy is the big word for us. It is what I am bringing, it is what you are bringing. We put it together, add it up, make it happen, ”says the artist, who has many plans in mind for the future as creator and maker of stories:“ We're here to start. Life is starting every day. ”
